Players in GW2 will want big bags and this is how to get them fast
Inventory space in Guild Wars 2 always feels like it’s at a premium because players are instilled with the spirit of hoarders and equipment is constantly dropping from enemies like loot piñatas. As a result, players who want to boost their holding space may start looking for quick and cheap ways to get bags.
The crafted bags in GW2 cost a lot of coins, with 20-slot bags starting around 20 gold. That cost increases to 30 gold for 24-slot bags, 64 gold for 28-slots, and so on. In GW2 it can take a long time to make even a little bit of gold for new and old players alike.
So, here’s a list of potential ways to quickly get fairly large bags without too much effort – or alongside other efforts that players are already undertaking.

4. Fractal Bags (20-slot bags)
For players who just hit level 80 and have started to foray into the end game of GW2 the infinite dungeons of the Fractals will potentially have some allure. And, if you’re having inventory space issues from all the loot, Fractals have a solution: 20-slot Fractal Bags.
Fractals are a sort of infinite dungeon experience where players take a party of 5 to dungeoneer and earn glory and coin. They will also earn the basic currency of Fractals called “Fractal Relics.” Relics can be used to buy a number of useful things including bags.
Three different types of 20-slot bags are available for Fractal Relics that sort inventory based on the rarity of equipment.
The 20-slot Fractal Exotic Equipment Box costs 250 Fractal Relics.
The 20-slot Fractal Rare Equipment Box costs 200 Fractal Relics.
The 20-slot Fractal Uncommon Equipment Box costs 150 Fractal Relics.
If you are playing Fractals anyway, the Fractal Relics necessary to buy these bags will come into your possession as you go.
You may have to stab a few bandits, but that's the price of this bag.
3. Bandit Coin Purse (20-slot bag)
The Bandit Coin Purse requires that players make it to the Silverwastes, which isn’t exactly a new player friendly zone, but it’s one of the quickest bags to get in GW2 since all it requires is unlocking 19 bandit weapon skins to complete the “Bandit Weapons Specialist” achievement.
To start the collection, buy the “Bandit Combat Journal” from the Bandit Crest Collector in the Silverwastes for 150 Bandit Crests and 10 silver. Bandit Crests can be obtained by doing events in the zone (10-20 crests per event).
It is possible to buy all of the bandit skinned weapons in World vs. World with karma. So, to make it as cheap as possible, use a low-level character with access to WvW and find the Equipment Trader. He sells bandit weapons for 160-300 karma each. There are 16 weapons available there.
The underwater bandit weapons will need to be crafted or bought via the Trading Post from other players.

2. Uncanny Jar (20-slot bag)
The Uncanny Jar is perhaps the first 20-slot bag most players can get quickly as a new player in GW2 because all it requires is a jaunt across Tyria to collect all the necessary items – potentially with a trip to the Trading Post.
The Uncanny Jar is the reward from the collection achievement “Uncanny Canner,” which involves unlocking a bunch of jars from across the geography of GW2.
Most of the jars are available for karma from Renown vendors (better known as “Hearts” to the community) and others are drops. Jars that are drops can be bought via the Trading Post from other players, which may get them out of the way more quickly.

Guild Wars 2 Halloween brings us the easiest 20-slot bag in the game.
1. Halloween Pail (20-slot bag)
Possibly the downright easiest bag to get in GW2 – but only during the Halloween “Shadow of the Mad King” seasonal event – is the Halloween Pail. It only costs three Candy Corn Cobs.
Candy corn is the currency during the Halloween seasonal event in GW2 and is earned by doing anything related to the event. Especially running the Mad King’s Labyrinth where players can earn enough candy corn to make one Candy Corn Cob (1,000 pieces of Candy Corn) in under an hour.
This bag can be bought from event vendors all around Lion’s Arch during the seasonal event or all year long from the Festival Rewards Vendor in the same city. It is also the final reward from the Halloween Reward Track for PvP and WvW, which can only be started during the event but can be completed anytime.

How to get the two biggest bags in GW2 if you have the time and money
Bags in GW2 go all the way up to 32-slots, but getting them is not easy and it is very costly. These two bags are among the best possible to receive in the game the first is the “Reinforced Olmakhan Bandolier” and the second type comes from the Recipes of the Dwarven Traders.
How to make the “Reinforced Olmakhan Bandolier”
It's a difficult journey to learn but this 32-slot bag and the story makes it worth it.
First, you will need to have the Path of Fire expansion for Guild Wars 2 and complete the story mission “A Bug in the System” from the Living Story Season 4. Completing that story will give you a free 20-slot bag, which you will then do a series of three collections to upgrade it to 24, 28, and finally 32 slots.
The first collection is called “Lasting Bonds: Where We Came From” and is started by talking to Efi, standing by the southern gate of Atholma in the Sandswept Isles map near the Bounty Board. Follow the collection, which has six parts, to receive the 24-slot version of the bag.
The next collection also starts with Efi and it is called “Lasting Bonds: What We Do Here.” Once again, follow the collection instructions, which has eight steps, and you will receive the exotic version of the bag with 28-slots.
Finally, talk to Efi again and you will receive the final collection. It is called “Lasting Bonds: What Comes Next.” There are seven steps to this collection, follow the instructions and you will receive a bow. Take the bow back to Efi and she will give you the final 32-slot ascended version of the bag.
Also, once you have gotten the 32-slot bag from the collections you will be able to craft more!
It will unlock for Tailor, Leatherworker, and Armorsmith all at once. It will allow you to make 20-slot, 24-slot, 28-slot, and 32-slot bags – each consecutive iteration requires at least one of the previous bags to craft the next one. Overall it can cost between 180 – 200 gold to make one 32-slot bag.

How to make the Dwarven Trader Bags
Expensive and difficult, Dwarven 32-slot bags are still the biggest in the game.
To start, you will need to have the Path of Fire expansion of Guild Wars 2 and be able to craft a 20-slot bag with Tailor, Leatherworker, or Armorsmith. Also, prepare to empty your virtual wallets, because this will get extremely expensive.
Using a level 400 Tailor, Leatherworker, or Armorsmith, create a 20-slot bag depending on the type you want in the end. To get a 24-slot bag, you will need two 20-slot bags.
Proceed to the Desert Highlands and locate the Dwarven Ruins near the Derelict Delve waypoint. Head past the Hero Point to a room with ruined mine carts. Look just to the right for a small room right after you enter the mine cart room, inside you will find a “curious bowl.”
Put 1 gold into the bowl and it will start a minigame and will teleport you into a room with two chests. You have a 50/50 chance of picking the correct chest, which will move you to another pair of chests. If you choose the wrong chest you will be ejected from the minigame. You must choose correctly three times in a row to reach a final chest that has a chance of dropping the 24-slot bag recipe.
These recipes come for all three professions, so you may need to keep going back through the ruins until you get all three. This can get extremely costly as it costs 1 gold each run and there’s no guarantee of getting a recipe.
Now, craft the 24-slot bag from the recipe. Only one of these is needed for the next stage. The most expensive part right now is a Supreme Rune of Holding, which you can buy on the Trading Post for around 7-9 gold. Or it can be won playing the gambling game Sandstorm.
Next, you need to discover the 28-slot bag through crafting. See the discovery recipes here for reference. You will only need one for the next stage. At this level, you will need 5 Supreme Runes of Holding.
Finally, with your 28-slot bag, you will need to discover the final 32-slot recipe through crafting. To do this you will need a whopping 12 Supreme Runes of Holding.
And viola. Now you have a 32-slot bag and it probably cost over 150 gold.
