Hi, Family and Friends! On April 20th, TCU Kappa Delta will host our first annual Shamrock Event to raise money for the prevention of child abuse through Alliance for Children and Prevent Child Abuse America. This year, we will host a KD Klassic golf tournament at Pecan Valley Golf Course. We hope you join us for golf, food, music, raffles, and our silent auction! Our goal is to raise $20,000 for the prevention of child abuse. 80% of the event proceeds will stay in our community to fund Alliance for Children. The remaining 20% will go to Prevent Child Abuse America. Since 1983, Kappa Delta has raised more than $15 million nationally for this important cause. With your help, we can continue to make an impact on the lives of children in our community and nationwide. This is where you come in! You can make a difference by being a sponsor for our Shamrock Event. Sponsorship comes in many different forms, including monetary donations, donating raffle prizes, or donating silent auction items. Please consider donating $20, a gift certificate to your restaurant, tickets to a sporting event, a gift basket from your store, or participating in the Shamrock Event in some way. Please note that donations are not tax-deductible.Any checks should be addressed to “Gamma Zeta chapter of Kappa Delta” and mailed to the following address: TCU Kappa Delta2901 Stadium DriveTCU Box 294514Fort Worth, TX 76129Use this link to register for our golf tournament, make a donation, or follow along on our Instagram (@kappadeltatcu) for more updates!https://lnkd.in/ea9M_y24

Do you make gift aid charitable donations and pay higher rates of tax?If so, it is worth remembering that any donations made before 5 April will see you receive the benefit much sooner than ones made just after. So if you have someone that you've been meaning to sponsor, if you do this before 5 April you will see a reduction in your tax bill in January 2025, whereas if you make this payment on 6 April you won't see the benefit until January 2026. https://buff.ly/2MRNGo0 #SelfAssessment #Donations

Q: Is it possible for a Charitable Organization to issue a receipt for a hockey jersey autographed by an NHL player❓A: Yes, a receipt can be issued if the charity can ascertain the fair market value of the jersey at the time of donation. However, if determining the fair market value is not feasible, the charity is unable to issue a receipt.✔Visit our website to learn more: CharityLawGroup.ca#charity #receipt #organization #donation #bigcharitylawgroup

A little 'inside baseball' for how a Rally North America event works.80+ cars line up in a smallish town (think Erie, PA or Knoxville, TN) on a sunny weekday morning - come to think of it, I've never been on a starting grid where it was raining - listen to a rallying introduction from our organizers and that town's leadership, and then get in our cars, waiting for the coveted Clue Card for the day and the green flag.Local news crews recording as we take off, one by one.Pictured is one of those Clue Cards - this from our 2016 Big Sky Rally which ran from Billings, MT to Portland, OR. As you can see, each checkpoint is described with just a clue and an image. We have to figure out what it is, where it is, and how to get there more quickly than the other 79 cars' occupants. While respecting traffic laws, mind you; a ticket is an instant DQ.Our place in the starting grid is dictated by how much money we raise for the charity that year. In 2012, I secured pole position with approximately $3500 raised. By now, pole position requires more than $20,000 in donations. We are that serious about the cause.I'm usually good now for about $8,000 - though I'm behind in my efforts so far this year. Please help me out by hitting Like and, if you think the cause worthy, repost to your networks. All donations, large or small, are hugely appreciated and roundly celebrated. My goal for this week is to raise $250 through our donation page, which is linked below. All proceeds go directly to Camp Sunshine and you will receive a receipt for tax purposes.🏕 ☀This post is related to Rally North America's 2024 Sunshine Rally. As we do nearly every year, my wife and I are participating under the team name Slightly Lost. Our goal is to raise as much money for the chosen #charity as we possibly can; please help us make a difference for the kids at Camp Sunshine by contributing at our Team Page. Link in the Comments. For more information, or if you represent a business that would like to get exposure during the event, DM me.#fundraising #foragoodcause #rallynorthamerica #campsunshine #slightlylost661

Here's a quick tax tip for your Saturday morning: Your charitable donations are deductible! Make sure you include your donations to charity when you file this year. And if you didn't keep track, start tracking them for next year's filing!

Before you donate this holiday season, be aware of scammers using fake charities to solicit personal information and money! When fake charities scam unsuspecting donors, the proceeds don’t go to those who need the help and those contributing to these fake charities can’t deduct their donations on their tax return. The Internal Revenue Service is here to help you stay alert with these important tips: https://bit.ly/3SiMmtx
