Lisa Beyer, 59, of Oronoco, passed away on May 5, 2024 at her home in Pensacola, Florida. Lisa Beyer was born in Faribault MN to Cheryl Marsolek on 9/1/64. Lisa graduated from Claremont High School and later graduated with a bachelor’s degree from RCTC. Lisa married Jeff Beyer on 9/3/88. Lisa worked as a Point of Care Coordinator at Mayo Clinic for 34 years. Lisa was actively involved in her church and enjoyed quilting, traveling, nature, gardening, and spending time with her family. Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Dale Marsolek. Lisa is survived by husband, Jeff Beyer; mother, Cheryl Marsolek; daughter, Amy (Matt) Thiede; son, Luke Beyer; sister Robyn Saxton. Funeral Services will be held June 7th at 4pm at the Pine Island United Methodist Church with a reception following the service. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Mayo Alzheimer’s Disease Center.

Joanne Berry
Joanne Dorothy Enderson Berry, 93, passed away at the Mayo Clinic Care Center in Lake City, MN, on Saturday, May 18th, 2024. She was born on February 9, 1931, to parents Dorothy and Joseph Hennessey. Joanne married James Robert Enderson in 1949. They were blessed with five children and raised them in the booming city of Rochester, Minnesota. She and Jim owned and managed Massey’s Shoe department in Rochester for over 25 years. Joanne was well known and loved by those who shopped at Massey’s. Joanne devoted much of her time to giving back to her community. She was a member of the Mazeppa Saint Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She volunteered with Dorothy Day, Meals on Wheels, Quarry Hill Nature Center, and sang with the Young at Heart Choir, which met weekly to perform at nursing homes, senior housing, and assisted living facilities around Rochester. Jim Enderson preceded Joanne in death in 1985.

Katherine A. Degnan died Thursday, January 25, 2024 in Rochester, at the age of 89. She was the youngest of seven children born to Michael Bernard and Ellen (Nelly) Ronan Degnan. Kate attended Lewiston Public Schools, graduating as a salutatorian, and completed a degree in English from the College of St. Teresa in Winona. She continued her education, obtaining a Library Science Degree from Columbia University. Kate then began a long career with the US Government. She started her library experience at the Library of Congress, before receiving a masters degree in librarian studies. She then went on to the Central Intelligence Agency, where she spent most of her career. Katherine (known as Kate to her family, Kathy to friends and colleagues in Washington, DC) enjoyed all that Washington had to offer, including the arts, an abundance of historic and scenic sites, and many friends she got to know over the years. She was active in the CST Alumnae Association, DC chapter; the National Democratic Women’s Club, and took classes with the Smithsonian Institution. She acquired experience in languages, including French and Russian.
