Structural planning is an art and science of designing with economical, serviceable and durable structural. This project is generally based on theoretical design and analysis of structural framed building. The entire process of structural planning and design required imaginations, sound knowledge and thinking. Analysis and design of G+4 story residential building structure by using IS Code method. Analysis and of entire structure have been complete by manually design and verifies by STADD Pro. Software. All the drafting and detailing was done by using Auto CAD, also serve as a base for transfer of the structure for analysis and design in STAAD Pro. In this project, the design of slab, beam, column, staircase, etc. is calculated by "Limit State Method" using IS: 456-2000 code book. Different load active on the member are consider according to IS: 875-1987 (part 1, part2, part3). Hence residential building is properly planed in accordance with National Building Code of India.

After the IT revolution in India after the millennium year 2000, increasing inflation for urban property prompted builders to promote apartments as respectable alternative to boardinghouses. To classify them from tenements, these early apartments were modeled after Parisian apartments and were referred to as 'French flats'. This project involves the study and design of the development of apartments. It is a framed structure and structural elements such as slab, beam, column, footing, staircase and design have been analysed with reference to the latest trends in STAADPRO software technologies and with reference to IS 456:2000, IS 8751987 (Part 1, 2, 3) and SP16 for load calculation.MS Excel also arrived at the expected cost of the project. This design project presents an in-depth knowledge of apartment building planning, research and development.

IRJET-Analysis and Design of Passenger Berthing Structure

Analysis and design of berthing structures seems to be a new subject to common structural engineers, but they are the important structures contributing to the development of trade in our nation. This design project is focusing on analysis and design of 2nd passenger berth at Beypore port, Kozhikode. It’s an open piled bored cast-in-situ structure and lying in the seismic zone III. The berth is to be designed for a vessel having capacity of 5000DWT. The structure is subjected to various forces and combinations such as, High tide, Earthquake, High winds, heavy live loads as per IS: 4651-1983. A model was generated using STAAD-Pro software and analysis was conducted with appropriate loads acting on the structure. It was observed that seismic force was nominal since Beypore being located in seismic zone III. This research is an attempt to understand the concept of design and analysis of berthing structures under different conditions of loading. Key Words: Berth, Load, Wind, Tide, Earthquake

Our project is to design a primary school building that can hold a total strength of 500 students, with proper infrastructure provided. Our project is designed to be located at Othakadai village, at the foot hills of anaimalai. This primary school building is designed to benefit the children dwelling in and around Othakdai. The total area of the school building is 6000 sq.meter. It comprises a class rooms, hygienic restrooms for both male and female, lobby, parent's lounge, library, staff room, indoor play area, art room, interactive digital learning room and office room, principal's room, splash area. The design thus obtained is analyzed using STAAD Pro, an analysis software, to check for the shear, bending and tensile conditions .Slab designing is done depending upon the type of slab, end conditions and the loading. From the slabs the loads are transferred to the beams, thereafter the loads from the beams are taken up by the columns and then to footing.

IRJET-AN ANALYSIS OF MULTI-STOREY BUILDING WITH FLOATING AND NON FLOATING COLUMN UNDER SEISMIC LOADING IN DIFFERENT ZONES.

Floating columns are a typical feature in the modern multistory construction in urban India and are highly undesirable in buildings built in seismically active and inactive zone areas. The present study investigates the effects of the structural irregularity which is produced by the discontinuity of a column in a building subjected to seismic loads in diff. zones. In this paper static analysis and conventional analysis using equivalent static method is done for a multistory building with and without floating columns in seismic zone-II & zone-V. Different cases of the building are studied by varying the location of floating columns floor wise, setback column and within the floor. The structural response of the building models with respect to Fundamental time period, Base shear, Storey drift and Storey displacements is investigated. The analysis is carried out using software STAAD Pro V8i software.

The main intention of this project is to design a three-storey commercial building by taking considerations to Indian Standard codes. Design of this commercial building is completed with the assistance of Software known as Staad pro. Designing the structure manually consumes lot of time and it's very difficult to get an accurate result moreover there are chances for errors. Whereas by using this software a huge amount of time are often saved. As mentioned above the software named "STAAD pro" abridged as "Structural Analysis and Design Program" is user friendly and has unique features such as, it designs the structural components individually along with their Analysis and Results. The shear force diagram, bending moment diagram and torsion diagram at each level can be analyzed by this software. The method is as follows: plan of the structure including its specifications are collected from the construction site. After analyzing the structure and its criteria, the structural components of building namely slabs, beams, columns and footings are designed.
